Product Description
DOWCROP®️SOP is a source of highly soluble potassium, and has the additional benefit of supplying sulfur. It is used in agricultural production systems where potassium is a limiting nutrient and also as a substitute for potassium chloride on chloride-sensitive crops.

EINECS: 231-915-5
H.S.CODE: 3104.3000.00 / 3105.1000.90( less than 10kg package)
Application
As Fertilizer:
u Used as a specialty fertilizer on crops that are sensitive to soil chloride levels, also used in cases where chloride buildup may be problematic.
Non Agricultural Uses:
u Used as a flash reducer in artillery propellant charges. It reduces muzzle flash, flare back and blast overpressure.
u Used as an intermediate in dye.
u Used as a clarifying agent in glass industry
u Used as a release inhibitor in medicine
u Used as an accessory ingredient in aromatics industry
u Used as all-purpose additives in food industry
u Used in biochemical inspection of serum protein.
Application Recommendation
Potassium sulphate can be used as basic material of potassium carbonate and potassium persulfate production. In glass industry, it works as Settling agent, Intermediary in dye industry, auxiliaries in perfume industry, and laxative in medical industry. Potassium sulphate is the most common potash fertilizer in agricultural area. The potassium oxide content is around 50%.
CAUTIONS:
First, in acidic soil, excess sulfate will make the soil acidity, and even aggravate the poisoning of crops because of the active aluminum and iron in soil . Under the condition of flooding, excess sulfate will restore sulfate radical to hydrogen sulfide, and further damage the roots. Thus,
long-term use of Potassium sulphat should be mixed with farmyard manure, phosphatic fertilizer and lime to reduce acidity.
Second, in calcareous soil, sulfate radical will easily combine with calcium ion and become insoluble calcium sulfate. Also, too much calcium sulfate will make soil hardening. In this situation, farmyard manure should be used more.
Above application recommendations are under general conditions, your consultation to local agronomists are strong recommended.
Product Features
Potassium Sulphate (K2SO4) or Sulphate of Potash (SOP), is the world's most popular low-chloride fertiliser. Combining Potassium (50% K2O) and Sulphur (18%) SOP offers a
high concentration of nutrients readily available to plants. Sulphate of Potash has a very low salinity index making it the preferred potash fertiliser in areas at risk from soil salinity.
