Brief Introduction
What is leonardite ?
Leonardite is a kind of natural organic macromolecule polymer. It is the high molecular uncertain polymer compound formed from the decomposition of plant residue and transformation of microorganism through tens of millions of years or even hundreds of millions of years, or a series of physical and chemical effects of the earth. It is also an important source of humic acid raw materials.
What is C.E.C?
Cation exchange capacity refers to that C.E.C, in a certain pH value (=7), the total number of moles (potential CEC) of the exchangeable cations (K+,Na+, Ca2+,Mg2+,NH4+,H+,AI3+,etc) containd in each kilogram of soil.
C.E.C is one of the most important index to measure the quality of humic acid, in other words, the higher the C.E.C, the better the humic acid activity; for the same content of the product, the higher the C.E.C, the better the effect of water and fertilizer retention capacity, the more obvious effect it has on the plant.
Leonardite advantage:
1. The content of organic mater is up to 85%, and the content of humic acid 70% min.
2. The content of C.E.C is up to 400-450 meq/100g.
3. Large storage capacity, with total reserve of about 18 million tons.
4. It contains fulvic acid of 3%-5%
Application
Soil health is a crucial factor for realizing higher yield of vegetables. Excessive application of chemical fertilizers may affect soil health and sustainable productivity. Addition of organic manure, which can supplement nutrient requirement of crops to some extent, releases nutrient in gradual and controlled way allowing greater production of vegetables with minor environmental impact. Humic acid is the most concentrated form of organic material and it is a ready source for carbon and nitrogen. Humic acid improves the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil and influences plant growth.
Application Recommendation
* 5-10kgs/ha/time, 2-3 times during seedling and growth stage, better to be applied with N, P fertilizers
* Mixed with Nitrogen fertilizers: 5% of total blend i,e, 5kgs of Potassium Humate per 100kgs of Urea
* Used as muti-functional compound and basal fertilizer, top dressing, seed fertilizer and foliar fertilizer
